The Blackhorse Emerging Enterprises Fund
The Blackhorse Emerging Enterprises Fund (BEEF) is an Asia ex-Japan long-only equity fund, managed for absolute return. Utilizing the same research-focused methodology used in BAF, BEEF seeks to capitalize on large anomalies present among small and mid-cap companies in Asia ex-Japan. The strategy incorporates an active cash decision for temporary defensive purposes, as well as the ability to leverage up to two times.
The Blackhorse Asia NT Fund
The Blackhorse Asia Fund NT (BAF NT) is a specialized Asia ex-Japan long/short fund that seeks to capitalize on Asian growth while managing the inherently higher volatility present in the region's equity markets. The Fund targets a 16% annualized return, while minimizing risk through implementing short and other hedge strategies, as it deems appropriate. The fund follows the BAM investment philosophy which is research-focused and leverages the team’s combined three-decades experience in Asian fundamental investment analysis.
The Blackhorse Enhanced Vietnam Inc.
Launched at the end of February, 2007, The Blackhorse Enhanced Vietnam Inc (BEVI) is an open-end fund, which has the ability to invest in Vietnam listed companies, OTC companies, and private companies. The Fund also has the ability to invest a limited percentage in Vietnam related offshore listed companies. BEVI's target portfolio is 60% pre-listed equities, 40% listed equities. The Fund also has the ability to leverage up to 150% of the listed portion of the portfolio through its prime broker Citigroup.
The Blackhorse Early-Stage Technology Fund
The investment objective of The Blackhorse Early-Stage Technology Fund (BEST) is to seek long-term capital appreciation by investing in Asian technology companies. BEST invests primarily in listed equities; however, investors also have the option to invest in a special Fund share-class that invests in unlisted equities which have the potential for eventual listing. BEST invests in companies in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Thailand and India, or companies listed in other markets that have significant exposure to the Asian technology sector.

The fund management industry in Singapore is regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore and no person can act as a fund manager in Singapore unless he is the holder of a capital markets services licence for fund management or unless he falls within the categories of persons who are exempt from licensing. Blackhorse Asset Management is exempt from holding a capital markets services licence for fund management on the basis that its business is limited to a maximum of 30 clients, each of whom are qualified investors, pursuant to the Securities and Futures Regulations S457/2002 of Singapore. |
